Any Questions
If you are thinking about joining Moorland Rover for the first time no doubt there will be questions in your mind. Here are the answers to some of those more frequently asked, but if you have any queries please do feel free to call at any time.

Which holiday should I choose?
As you will see from the schedule Moorland Rover offer a choice of several holidays and tours which change from year to year. All our tours are planned to include areas of outstanding natural beauty or a national park and each is chosen for its varied natural and social history. Even if you are familiar with some of these areas there is a very good chance that we shall take you to many places that you will not have found on you own and remember: it is not only where we take you but how we journey there that is important.

Can I come on my own?
Our holidays are very suitable indeed for people holidaying alone for whatever reason. Because of our small groups everyone gets to know everyone else and many friendships are forged from holiday acquaintances.

Will it be crowded where we go?
We do not appreciate crowded places any more than you and as a rule do not include over-commercialised destinations in your itinerary. Our extensive knowledge of the backroads and byways enables us to avoid crowded roads and guests are frequently surprised at the low levels of traffic we encounter.

Can I combine two holidays?
Yes, of course. If you would like to take two holidays 'back to back' we shall be happy to make arrangements for additional nights accommodation. By the same token we can arrange additional nights accommodation if you want to continue your stay at the hotel.

What shall I bring?
Our holidays are informal so there is no need to bring a large wardrobe. Comfortable, casual, country clothes are the order of the day. Sweaters and slacks for cooler days and perhaps a smart change of clothes for dinner. It does occasionally rain so don't forget a raincoat and hat. If you are joining a 'wander' holiday you will need a stout pair of walking shoes or boots, thick socks and a good quality waterproof and trousers - just in case - but don't forget lighter clothing for those days when the sun shines in a clear blue sky. Remember National Trust and English Heritage cards, if you are a member, and binoculars, maps and camera if you have them.

We also offer Private Charter holidays.
